ゲインズビル日本人会とは...
フロリダ州ゲインズビル周辺に在住する日本人による交流コミュニティです。 日本人永住者とそのご家族、短期滞在の研究者・留学生、日本語を学ぶ学生や子どもたちとの交流を目的に、年2回の懇親パーティーを開催しています。 また、年間を通じてゲインズビル市やフロリダ大学と協力し、日本やアジアに関するさまざまなイベントにも参加しています。 2012年にはFacebookページを開設し、メンバー間での情報交換を行ってきました。2025年からは、より多くの方に活動を知っていただくためInstagramも開始しました。 ゲインズビルの日本人コミュニティの最新情報は、ぜひInstagramとFacebookでチェックしてください。 お問い合わせは、gainesville.nihonjinkai@gmail.com までお願いいたします。
The Gainesville Japanese Association is a community-led organization that aims to bring together Gainesville residents with Japanese heritage, Japanese families new to the area, students studying the language, and anyone else interested in Japanese culture. We organize bi-annual potluck parties where community members can get a taste of Japanese culture and meet new friends. Throughout the year, we also collaborate with the City of Gainesville and the University of Florida for various Japanese and Asian cultural events. We also run a Facebook page as a space for members to share updates and info, and an Instagram for sharing updates on events and spotlighting local Japanese-related things. ゲインズビル日本語アカデミーは、子供たちが安全で楽しく、日本語と日本文化を楽しく学べるようにしたいという思いから、保護者のみんなで協力 して立ち上げたグループです。学習方法は読み、書き、話すことをメインに、さらに音楽、芸術、社会見学、お祝い事に参加したりしていろいろな方向性からアプローチしています。

Japanese Academy of Gainesville (JAG) is a cooperative volunteer-led group for caregivers who want their children to enjoy learning the Japanese language and culture in a safe, fun, and family-friendly environment. Kids learn through reading, writing, speaking, music, art, field trips, holiday celebrations, and more!

UF Japanese Club (J-Club)
A club at the University of Florida focused on supporting students in their pursuit of Japanese-language acquisition, as well as offering opportunities to learn about and experience Japanese culture.
The club hosts various cross-cultural events during the school year, including an annual 春祭り! In addition, students have the opportunity to practice their Japanese-language skills with other learners and Native speakers at bi-weekly Kaiwa Table events.

UF Japanese Student Association (JSA)
A club at the University of Florida centered around Japanese pop-culture, music, and sports.
The club hosts various cross-cultural events throughout the school year, including an annual Spring Banquet! JSA also hosts an annual intercollegiate sports day (Undōkai) where students from all over the state come to Gainesville to compete. They even have a dance team!

An unofficial club at the University of Florida centered around Japanese-language study and reading.
Students meet throughout the year to practice reading various forms of Japanese literature—from novel to manga.
